PALS University Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP)

Join CDDs PALS University Summer Work Experience Program (SWEP) as a Seasonal Support Professional supporting individuals as they participate in paid and volunteer work experiences throughout the summer.

This is a temporary seasonal role designed specifically to support summer programming and does not extend beyond the program term.

What Youll Do

Provide on-the-job coaching instruction and skill modeling
Support individuals in community employment and volunteer placements
Assist with attendance tracking and timekeeping procedures
Implement individualized employment goals and activities
Complete required documentation and progress notes
Communicate updates and observations to the Employment Specialist
Assist individuals with workplace routines and expectations
Attend required trainings meetings and orientation sessions

Ability to work independently and adapt in community settings
Strong communication and organizational skills
Person-centered empathetic approach to support
Basic computer skills
Willingness to complete required training prior to program start
Ability to follow safety guidelines and universal precautions

Schedule & Employment Details

Part-time seasonal position during the Summer Work Program
Hours vary by location and assignment
Orientation and training required prior to program start
Non-exempt temporary role

Education & Experience

Required: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: One year of related experience
