Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Neonatology & Newborn Services in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Teaching responsibilities may include clinical education of medical students residents and fellows as well as formal lecture opportunities within the Division and Department.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing outstanding clinical care and productivity in program development. Clinical care will be provided in the 100 bed Level IV NICU at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia and the 40 bed Level III NICU at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Duties also include providing outpatient and inpatient consultative services.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical or basic studies and will be dependent on the candidates interests and independent support. Evidence of scholarship is required for the Clinician-Educator track.
