Culinary Aide for Senior Living Community Location: Dallas TX 75231
Compensation: $16-$17 per hour Full-Time
Schedule: 10:30am-6:30pm; open availability needed
Job Summary
Join a team that makes a difference every day! As aCulinary Aide you will play a vital role in resident care by delivering nutritious meals with accuracy efficiency and compassion. Youll ensure meals meet medical and dietary needs support food safety standards and bring a positive caring presence to every interaction. Your work helps nourish healingone tray at a time.
What Youll Do
- Assemble and deliver patient meal trays according to dietary requirements and safety protocols
- Accurately follow meal tickets and special diet orders
- Assist patients with meal setup as needed (no feeding)
- Collect used trays and return them to the kitchen for cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of food carts work areas and equipment
- Follow hospital infection control and food safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with dietary staff nurses and other team members
- Other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Prior experience with one-on-one customer service interaction preferred.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Successful background check and drug screen state specific
- Health screening and TB tests state specific
- ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card state specific
- The ability to work holiday and weekend shift schedules
- Basic computer skills
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes airborne particles and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods lift trays and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions extreme temperatures and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
