Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated FP&A Co-op Student to join our team this Summer term. If youre ready to dive into a sea of opportunities and tackle hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis this role is for you! With a focus on supporting supply chain financial analysis the position is ideal for students in their 3rd or 4th year of university or college or those who have recently graduated. You will have the chance to work on diverse projects collaborate with internal business partners and support various FP&A initiatives ensuring you gain valuable skills and experience while working in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Financial Analysis:
- Assist the Manager Category FP&A (Retail)in analyzing financial data related to commercial Retailoperations.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations to support decision-making processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by collecting and analyzing relevant data.
- Assist in the preparation of budget templates and financial models.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast and provide insights on variances.
- Data Management:
- Collect organize and maintain financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize financial software and tools to analyze and report on financial performance.
- Process Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to financial planning and analysis.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for FP&A processes.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the FP&A team including scheduling meetings preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes.
- Assist in the management of FP&A documentation and records.
Qualifications
- Co-op Student enrolled in Finance Accounting Business or related program.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather information and solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Analytical thinker and a team player.
- Ability to gather analyze and interpret various data.
- Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial software.

Salary Transparency: High Liner Foods compensation offerings are founded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes individual and team performance. The typical hourly rate for this position is from $19h; the base pay is offered based on a variety of factors including geographical market location and may vary depending on job grading practices job-related knowledge skills experience and internal equity factors. As part of our total rewards offering employees may be eligible to participate in an annual short-term incentive program and long-term incentive program (for Dir) subject to program eligibility requirements.
