The Role
Were seeking a detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst / Client Operations Analyst to join our Belfast office and take ownership of our operational processes. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with major financial institutions combining data analysis expertise with meaningful client relationships. Youll play a key role in executing our monthly reporting cycles validating data accuracy across multiple sources supporting client implementations and identifying strategic opportunities for cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Attend client and internal meetings taking detailed notes and following up on action items to ensure seamless communication while in the future this person will be leading clients meetings.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular touchpoints and proactive communication as a market data expert.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Execute monthly reporting cycles using SQL and Python/pandas to analyze client data track cost fluctuations and deliver timely insights to clients and internal teams
- Maintain data accuracy by testing outputs through running SQL queries and Python scripts comparing results to platform data to ensure operational processes remain reliable and error-free
Process Improvement
- Develop Python scripts and queries to automate repetitive analysis tasks and create new scripts to enhance the opportunities identification process and clients insights.
- Review reports to identify cost-saving strategies and optimization opportunities (called Opportunities) using our Submarine tool documenting findings and collaborating with clients to implement recommendations
- Document recurring tasks and suggest process improvements to make operations more efficient working closely with the team to implement changes
What Were Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 68 years of experience in datadriven analytical or operational roles ideally within financial services SaaS market data or related environments
- Strong SQL skills for querying and managing data in a structured database environment (PostgreSQL experience preferred
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation with hands-on experience using pandas DataFrames and Jupyter Notebooks (or similar IDEs)
- Advanced Excel proficiency for data manipulation analysis and reporting
- Experience with data validation reconciliation and quality assurance across multiple data sources
- Experience managing recurring processes or operational workflows ideally in a tech or financial services environment
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and completeness
- Comfortable with AI tools (Claude ChatGPT etc) to automate and provide efficiency in his/her work
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial services or FinTech industry experience
- Familiarity with market data providers like Bloomberg Refinitiv or FactSet
