Job Summary

This FMCG manufacturing and distribution business operates in a high-volume cost-sensitive environment where stock accuracy and operational discipline are critical. The Cost Accountant will play a key role in controlling stock improving operational efficiencies and supporting depot financial performance by working closely with site and sales leadership.

- Manage full stock control and daily reconciliations
- Investigate variances and identify waste or cost-saving opportunities
- Analyse product and route-level costs and support cost-to-serve decisions
- Ensure accurate financial reporting through journals reconciliations and month-end close
- Support budgeting and forecasting at a depot level
- Review expenses against budget and provide recommendations
- Ensure adherence to stock-related SOPs
- Work closely with operational teams and supervise depot admin staff
- Maintain strong financial and process controls
Required:
- Cost Accounting Degree or Diploma or CIMA qualification
- 34 years experience in a cost accounting role
- Exposure to an FMCG environment
- Ability to work independently and engage multiple stakeholders
