• Provides safe courteous and efficient transportation to passengers to includetransporting assisting and escorting passengers as needed to and from their homes and appointmentsites.
• May operate wheelchair lift device when necessary to board and deboard passengers; ensuresthat wheelchair brakes are locked while lift is in motion positioning wheelchairs in vehicle andsecuring them to vehicle.
• Maintains a clean and safe vehicle with regular vehicle maintenance. Examples include wash and vacuum inside of vehicle when visibly soiled oil changes and tire pressure/wear. Report safety concerns related to transport vehicle immediately to leader.
• Maintains current required licenses certificates and safe driving record.
• Documents any incidents that may happen while transporting passengers including passengers falling or injured in some manner accidents complaints regarding service or other concerns of passengers
• Maintains records of trips and concerns regarding behaviors of passenger.
• Operates cell phone or similar device to communicate as required and necessary but not while actively operating a vehicle.
• Completes daily weekly monthly records as needed for state and regulatory reports.
• Participates in mandatory in services and/or computer based training as stipulated by the department and/or hospital.

• Drivers License - Licensing Board A valid drivers license and that the employee is insurable by Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier. Upon Hire
