The University of Nevada Las Vegas invites applications for Registrar Analyst UNLV University Registrar - Student Records R0150473

ROLE of the POSITION

Responsible for providing real-time and responsive in-person telephone and online support for students staff faculty parents families and other relevant parties regarding student records enrollment the MyUNLV system and other Enrollment and Student Services topics. The individual in this position will provide support for registration enrollment functions and MyUNLV Technical Support with a moderate amount of troubleshooting and investigation. This position requires a desire to learn and ultimately a solid understanding of student information and other systems that record and store student data. Specifically the incumbent will be required to know and understand front-end transactions that occur in these systems but also to understand back-end administrative and batch processes that impact these transactions and student data in order to assist with troubleshooting and solving issues to reduce resolution time and escalation to more technical staff.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The position along with other Office of the Registrar staff will field over 50000 annual in-person telephone written and electronic inquiries from students parents and all University colleges departments student services and academic support units. This includes the analysis evaluation and handling of complex correspondence. It also includes monitoring and keeping current with institutional State and federal regulations and office policies and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient release of information. If responsibilities are not performed properly; inaccurate information is given to constituencies it could result in a violation of federal State or local policies affect accreditation renewals produce inaccurate student records and invalid reporting

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1 3 Years of Related Professional Experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.

ACCEPTED EQUIVALENCIES FOR DEGREE REQUIREMENT

UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements:

  • In lieu of a bachelors degree applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience or with an associates degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 1 or more years related professional experience.
  • Customer service technical support public speaking standard and electronic presentations high- paced environment
