WAGE RANGE:$31.00 - $34.50

JOB SUMMARY

Perform tasks related to the preparation and distribution of payroll including biweekly processing tax payments and statutory reporting garnishments and fringe benefitdepositsbillingandreporting. Works on all payroll related matters asrequiredwithinprescribedtimeconstraintsandin a confidential manner. Coordinates benefits deductions and leave pay.

Works with HR and Finance and Accounting to provide regular pay reporting and supports regular payroll Auditing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Primarily responsible for the variety of the agencys payroll system of record and updates all employee records to maintain a high standard of accuracy and history.
  2. Prepares and coordinates all aspects of running a biweekly payroll with maximum accuracy
  3. Coordinates all schedulesandprocessesfor the biweekly payroll;prepares time entries payroll adjustmentsprocessesandreconcilesemployee extra-payroll deductions prepares payroll transfers and deposits.
  4. Reconcilespreparesandprocessestheinvoicesorself-billingofemployeefringe benefits.
  5. Coordinates benefit elections and changes within Catholic Charities system and external benefit partners systems.
  6. Coordinates MN PFML and Benefit-related leave pay with the payroll process to ensure payment for employees.
  7. ProvidesinformationalreportingfromthePayrollSystemasrequested.
  8. Supports regular internal and external payroll audits.
  9. Provides excellent customer service support to managers and staff at CC with payroll/ the ongoing training ofmanagersandstaffintimekeepingand payroll procedures.
  10. TroubleshootspayanddeductionissuesandworkstogetherwithHRAccounting and Catholic Charities Staff Insurance companies Tax & Legal Authorities to resolve them.
  11. KeepscurrentwithchangesinthePayrollReportingandHRISsystems used by Catholic Charities
  12. Keeps current with federal and state wage standards and the changes in relevant laws and statutes.
  13. PreparesandfilesquarterlyandannualtaxreturnsandW-2sbytheduedatesas

prescribedbyvariousgovernment agencies.

  1. Maintainsthehigheststandardofconfidentialityregardingemployee information.
  2. Responsibleforpromptlyandaccuratelycollectingenteringmanagingand reporting of client data into systems of record.

Otherdutiesas assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • HighSchooldiplomaorequivalentandminimumof 4yearsofpayrollprocessing experience in similarly sized organization.
  • Previousexperiencewithpayrollsoftwareand/orHRISadministrationrequired.
  • ADP/Workforce now experience preferred
  • American Payroll Association FPC/CPP certifications preferred
  • Aboveaveragecomputerandsoftware skills.
  • Generalknowledgeofhumanresourcesis preferred.
  • Has the ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations including those who may be experiencing homelessness unstable housing and/or mental illness.
