Were expanding and hiring a Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle team at 41 Montebello Road Pueblo CO.
What Youll Be Doing
In this role you will manage the full lifecycle of patient billing and claims processing including submitting weekly charges uploading and working 837 files and resolving denied claims within timely filing guidelines. You will follow up on payments research discrepancies reconcile patient accounts and process adjustments with accuracy and efficiency. Youll prepare patient statements address customer inquiries and collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance. Throughout all activities you will maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and uphold patient confidentiality.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Billing Specialist under the supervision of the Director and Supervisor you will:
- Compile and submit weekly charges
- Upload 837s into clearinghouse and work claims to ensure payment
- Ensure denied claims in the clearinghouseare corrected and resubmitted within timely filing guidelines
- Follow up on collect and record payments
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Follow established procedures for processing receipts and providing documentation to Finance
- Perform patient account reconciliations monitor accounts for non-payments and other irregularities
- Process adjustments accurately and timely
- Prepare patient statements
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns communicate with internal and external customers
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality

Qualifications
What were looking ForThe Must-Haves
- High school diploma and at least 3 years of patient billing experience and medical accounts receivable management
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly to outside agencies vendors and clients in a professional courteous and confidential manner
