Specific Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of systems administration including servers network applications databases and telecommunications. This includes implementation configuration coordination control maintenance troubleshooting security usage monitoring and the development of specialized system procedures.
Responsible for performing systems security administration functions including creating customer profiles and accounts monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology related security incidents and violations.
Maintain application security event investigations and compliance enforcement. Review personnel conduct in relation to data protection.
Administer secure links with public key encryption anti-virus user authentication and intrusion detection.
Keep current with new security and network monitoring technologies applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor and manage system resources including CPU usage disk usage tape backup systems and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
Performs systems backups and recovery procedures.
Manage and support secure Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
Document LAN network related policies and procedures including security.
Maintains system documentation and logs.
Writes or modifies basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate systems administration tasks.
Installs new software releases system upgrades evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
Schedule and conduct weekly computer maintenance tasks.
Lead basic computer training classes or tutorials for staff as needed.
Identify problems and report to supervisors as needed.
Must be able to work after hours weekends and holidays when necessary.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelors degree or equivalents to from an accredited college or university with major course work in Computer Science Management Information Systems or a closely related field or a minimum of five years experience configuring and supporting enterprise WAN technologies.
Preference will be given to individuals possessing or currently working towards one or more of the follow industry certifications: Microsoft MCP CompTIA Security Network and Cisco CCNA
Working Months: 12
Work Schedule: Core Hours are Monday Friday (8:00 AM 5:00 PM) - Must be able to work after hours holidays and weekends when necessary.
