Minimum Qualifications

Six years of experience in planning developing delivering or evaluating training programs or academic instruction; human resources or social services; OR

Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in planning developing delivering or evaluating training programs or academic instruction; human resources or social services; OR

A bachelors degree plus three years of experience in planning developing delivering or evaluating training programs or academic instruction; human resources or social services; OR

An advanced degree in education instructional design business or public administration industrial and organizational psychology organizational behavior or human resources plus two years of experience in planning developing delivering or evaluating training programs or academic instruction; human resources or social services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTIONS:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Designation as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
  • Assess agencywide training needs and partner with HR and leadership to design effective high-quality training programs.

  • Evaluate training outcomes maintain statewide training records and ensure staff meet all Civil Service ACA PREA and ORM requirements.

  • Develop and update training curricula technical presentations and instructional materials for diverse audiences.

  • Support facility and regional trainers through coaching curriculum updates and hands-on training.

  • Lead diversity equity and inclusion initiatives including leadership development programs for underrepresented staff.

  • Provide consultation to facility and regional leadership on training needs and workforce development strategies.

Appointment Type:Full time Probational
