Job Description
Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is actively seeking a part-time Kitchen Crew Member to join its food services program. As a member of the team the Kitchen Crew Member helps prepare meals for clients through the company.
Job Duties
The Food Service Worker is responsible for the following job essential job duties:
- Cook and bake regular and/or special meals for clients and staff at DBH following approved recipes.
- Learn and implement proper and safe knife procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in work areas including food preparation stations storage and equipment.
- Help serve client meals.
- Complete essential cleaning procedures including sweeping mopping trash removal and dish washing.
- Other assignments as needed.
The clinical support staff at DBH provide the first impression for its clients and play an important role in helping clients who may be struggling with their mental health which is why providing excellent customer service in a prompt manner is critical.
Location
This position will work on the Davis Behavioral Health Layton Campus located at 2250 North Robins Dr. Layton Utah 84041
Shift
The DBH kitchen operates Monday through Saturday. The successful candidate will work varying shifts throughout the week with shifts starting as early. Weekly hours will not exceed 20.
Compensation
Starting pay for this position is $9.50 per hour.

Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess strong verbal communication skills.
- Have demonstrated professional customer service experience.
- Ability to follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Possess a valid food handlers permit or obtain one within the first 15 days of employment.

The part-time Food Service Worker position is not eligible to participate in the agencys benefits program.
All employees at DBH are eligible to utilize the agencys robust Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Intermountain LiVe Well.
DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.
Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws including no use of medical marijuana.
Further all employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as part of DBHs licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process.
