Trumpf is seeking candiates for an onsite internship in our Flexible Systems Department at our Hoffman Estates IL location. This internship will provide a college-level student with practical and professional experience that will enhance and compliment their classroom learning. This internship will be May 2026 to August 2026 for at least 32-40 hours a week. The position will be with the layout team and requires a mechanical engineering education.
Principles Roles & Responsibilities:
Support layout engineers; prepare layout and foundation drawings
Process buildings scans
Prepare system 3D assemblies
Prepare 2D Layout and foundation drawings
Create technical documentation:
System configuration overview (e.g. LiftMaster Tube Storage)
Prepare guidelines for layout process
Support with technical library:
- Create SmartSheet Dashboard to allow easy entry of topics
- Create work instruction
Pay Range: $18-$25
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Strong inter-personal communication skillsand ability to work as a team player.
Education:
Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
