Job Summary
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 for our client in the food manufacturing industry in Vancouver WA. The successful person will bring 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment strong knowledge of production equipment and refrigeration systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
Pay Scale
$27.00 - $32.00/hour
Shift
Swing Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance tasks on manufacturing and packaging equipment including diagnostics repairs and adjustments
- Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues with production equipment providing solutions and performing necessary repairs
- Monitor the performance of production equipment including refrigeration systems used for IQF processes and address any irregularities or malfunctions promptly
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly to minimize disruption to operations
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance particularly in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing and packaging equipment including refrigeration systems used in IQF processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other maintenance tools
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions including cold storage areas
- Ability to stand walk crouch climb ladders and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Maybe You Have
- Technical certification in HVAC electrical or mechanical systems
- Experience with forklift scissor lift and boom lift operation
- Familiarity with GMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices) in a food manufacturing facility
- Metal fabrication experience
- Experience working with automation and system controls

Working Environment
This position may have you working in conditions that could include LOTO elevated heights loud machinery dust indoor/outdoor environments. PPE must be worn at all times.
