Job Summary

Title: Corporate Treasury Liquidity Planning & Coverage - Executive Director


Were seeking someone to join the Liquidity Planning & Coverage team as an Executive Director in Treasury to support the management of the Firms European legal entities from a liquidity the Finance division we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management analysis and advisory services of the Firms financial and capital resources. This is an Executive Director level position within the London Corporate Treasury and Capital Planning team.

What youll do in the role:

  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
  • Lead end-to-end processes and/or programs that require complex decision making advanced understanding of client and stakeholder needs and subject matter expertise
  • Understand and adhere to the Firms risk and regulatory standards policies and controls; own risk and contingency plans for business area
  • Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firms values and hold yourself and team accountable to Firm standards
  • Lead the team analysing and communicating liquidity requirements and risk drivers from transactions new products and across businesses. Internal and regulatory metrics include the Internal Liquidity Stress Test (ILST) Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and the Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR)
  • Manage EMEA regulatory requests from the PRA ECB and other regional regulators including data analysis liaising with other groups and presentation of findings
  • Work with Liquidity Controllers to resolve liquidity production and reporting issues as they occur
  • Monitor Morgan Stanleys European entities liquidity risk and keep various management committees such as Asset Liability Committees (ALCOs) informed on the approach taken to manage liquidity risk
  • Engage with European regulators including drafting responses to regulatory inquiries managing regulatory exams and deliverables e.g. Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ILAAP) submissions and advocating for industry views to the regulators
  • Work with various stakeholders across the Firm to explain liquidity risk and associated liquidity reserve
  • Work with IT Treasury Strats and Controllers to develop and implement enhanced stress testing methodology analytical and forecasting tools
  • Partner with the New York LP&C team to develop the Firms Internal Liquidity Stress Test (ILST) and ensure that the liquidity stress test models and their corresponding documentation are kept up-to-date through regular recalibrations ongoing performance monitoring and back testing
  • Oversee the assessment of the liquidity risk of new products and large transactions

  • Advanced understanding of Treasury industry and competitive environment and technical skills including risks and key regulations relevant to the division

  • Ability to manage risk and impact to functional area and create plans to mitigate those risks
  • Experience of managing a team of resources
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with teams across both local offices and globally
  • Proficient analytical capabilities including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced high-energy level environment
  • At least 8 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
