Position Overview
The Director of Procurement leads category management across the organization. This position plays a pivotal role in supplier strategy cost optimization and team development. This leader will collaborate with stakeholders (including product management operations and supply chain leaders and finance) to develop category strategies analyze spend data to identify opportunities and lead the team through strategy formulation and execution. This leader will work with the category team to drive category strategies for spend areas like office supplies travel IT outside labor contingent labor MRO and packaging required to support business operations. This position will report into the VP of Procurement.
Key Job Responsibilities
Develop and manage category strategies for a spend of $300M as a business lever.
Execute sourcing and procurement strategies for all corporate commodities and suppliers including capital equipment equipment leases finance legal marketing HR and others as needed. Maintain a controlled environment ensuring consistent and controlled buying methods.
Implement and execute best-in-class decision making e.g. Preferred Supplier programs effective T&C structure and Global LTAs. Establishes proper metrics to ensure sourcing decisions follow TCO principles and delivers business value.
Manage evaluate track and report relevant commodities and market trends from a historical and forecasting perspective.
Establish annual goals and objectives including stretch targets for function/team and manage individual performance to assure attainment.
Drive cost savings payment term improvements and spend under management.
Oversee supplier segmentation and complexity reduction.
Implement sourcing playbooks and supplier relationship management (SRM) frameworks.
Build and lead high-performing procurement teams including mentorship and training of direct reports.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement transparency and performance.
Facilitate team cohesion across geographies.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management engineering industrial management business or related field. MBA in supply chain management or related desirable
10 years global procurement experience in areas of indirect spend including prior supervisory experience
Experience in AV industry preferred
Certified Purchasing Manager preferred
Understanding of Strategic Sourcing principles and strategy
Experience in negotiations and contracts
Analytical ability and understanding of financial analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Oracle preferred
Travel: Up to 25%

Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days evenings weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
