Job Description:
The primary responsibility for this position is to design develop and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric ensuring high standards of data quality governance and scalability across the enterprise data platform.
Qualifications: This person should have a bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a related field and a minimum of 7 years experience in data engineering or platform development. Experience with Microsoft Fabric data pipeline orchestration and cloud-based data solutions is preferred. The candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset. Special skill sets: Microsoft Fabric MS SQL Server Python AI machine learning data pipeline design data cleansing and transformation data quality frameworks metadata management data cataloging governance policy implementation and platform scalability strategies.
Principal Responsibilities:
Design build and maintain robust data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric to support enterprise analytics and operational needs.
Develop implement and maintain data management standards and best practices to ensure data integrity quality and security across the organization.
Establish and monitor data quality metrics proactively identifying and resolving data issues.
Manage metadata and data cataloging processes to ensure data assets are discoverable well-documented and compliant with organizational standards.
Implement and enforce data governance policies including data security privacy and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute data strategy focusing on platform scalability and future growth.
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices in data engineering quality and governance.
Stay current with emerging technologies industry trends and best practices in data platform engineering and Microsoft Fabric.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines processes and governance frameworks.
Act in accordance with organizational policy and procedures as established and set forth in the employee handbook.
Adhere to compliance procedures and participate in required compliance training.
