Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Warehouse Migration Specialist/ Architect with 10-15 years of experience to lead large-scale data and application migration initiatives to the Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data warehousing SQL and lift-and-shift migration strategies along with hands-on experience in end-to-end cloud transformation projects.

Required Skills & Experience

10-15 years of overall IT experience with strong focus on Data Warehousing and SQL.
Proven experience in Azure Cloud migrations especially lift-and-shift approaches.
Hands-on experience with:
- Azure Data Services (Azure Synapse Azure SQL Database Azure Data Factory)
- Data warehouse design and optimization
- Large-scale data migration projects
Strong expertise in SQL performance tuning and database management.
Experience migrating the following components:
- Applications
- Data Warehouse
- SQL Databases
Solid understanding of cloud architecture networking and security.
Prior experience in the Insurance industry will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute end-to-end migration to Azure Cloud including applications data warehouse and SQL databases.
Design and implement lift-and-shift migration strategies with minimal downtime and risk.
Assess existing on-premise systems and define migration roadmaps and architectures.
Migrate and modernize data warehouse solutions to Azure (e.g. Azure Synapse Azure SQL).
Manage data migration validation and performance tuning post-migration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application infrastructure and business stakeholders.
Ensure data integrity security and compliance throughout migration lifecycle.
Optimize cloud architecture for performance scalability and cost-efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with modernization beyond lift-and-shift (re-architecture re-platforming).
Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and data pipelines.
Azure certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Azure Data Engineer).
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
