PANP Pediatric Hospitalist Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI (0.5FTE)

Helen DeVos Childrens Hospital is seeking a part time APP that is responsible for managing patients and coordinating services across multiple addition to acute care responsibilities this APP will assist with the HDVCH blood management program. This program is aimed at improving the care of patients (both inpatient and outpatient) by decreasing the need for blood transfusions through iron replacement and Epoetin administration.

Position Highlights:

• Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with specific physician(s)

• Exercises independent judgment in the assessment diagnosis and initiation of selected protocols/procedures

• Provides educational support for patients/significant others health team members and the community and coordinates QA/QI studies to measure outcomes of care

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner:

• Required Masters Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a masters post-masters or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission

• 3 years of relevant experience current relevant clinical experience

• Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner

• LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)

Physician Assistant:

• Required Masters Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program

• LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan

• CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)
