Job Description:
The Support Specialist I provides secretarial support to the school site; establishes and maintains records; compiles and distributes materials and reports; and responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources. This is currently a 12-month position reporting to the School Prinicpal.
Qualifications:
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:Job-relatedexperience is desired. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates schedules meetings and activities in support of administrator/department staff with operational activities.
- Maintains a wide variety of files and records (manual/computer; confidential/non-confidential) to provide documentation in accordance with administrative and legal requirements.
- Monitors assigned departmental activities and/or program components (e.g. travel arrangements and reimbursements meetings and events etc.) to ensure that goals are achieved target dates are met and financial legal and/or administrative requirements are satisfied.
- Performs record-keeping and clerical functions (e.g. scheduling copying etc.) to support the teacher and/or administrator in providing necessary records/materials.
- Prepares a variety of written materials (e.g. reports memos letters etc.) to document activities provide written reference and/or convey information.
- Responds to a variety of inquiries from internal and external parties (e.g. staff parents students public agencies etc.) and provides information facilitates communication among parties and/or provides direction.
- Supports school office functions in delivering services in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assists other personnel as may be required to ensure an efficient and effective work environment.
- Attends meetings and workshops to record events and convey and/or receive information.
- Other duties as assigned by School Principal.
PayInformation:Hourly wage$18.38to$22.61an hour (Additional factors in calculation including hours # of days etc.)
Clearances:
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
- Tuberculosis Skin Test.
- Public Health Compliance -Must follow safety and health protocols.
