4YP are seeking to appoint a Children and Young Peoples (CYP) Practitioner to meet the needs of Children and Young People (CYP) aged 7-25 years olds; as a member of the team delivering activities in a range of settings but based primarily at The Severals Pavilion in Newmarket.
Travel to other locations is occasionally a requirement of this role.
Principle responsibilities:
Proven experience of working with younger people in a range of settings is essential as well as an ability to communicate and work effectively and safely with children and young people especially those most at risk.
A minimum two evenings work per week is an expectation of this role.
Job Purpose
You will meet the needs of children and young people (CYP) through the autonomous delivery of high-quality youth work activities across a range of settings in Newmarket Suffolk; including one to ones group work outreach and detached work.
As the post holder you will work with a high degree of professional autonomy taking responsibility for planning prioritising and delivering work independently while remaining accountable to organisational policies safeguarding requirements and strategic objectives.
A key aspect of the role is building strong partnerships particularly with Newmarket Charitable Trust and developing a sustainable model of delivery through the recruitment development and coordination of volunteers.
