Public Skills Australia (PSA) has been appointed by the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) as one of 10 Jobs and Skills Councils. PSA works with employer and employee representatives from the Public Safety and Government industry-sectors Police Fire and Emergency Services Correctional Services Defence and all levels of Government to ensure Australias vocational education and training (VET) system delivers better outcomes for learners and employers. A primary function of PSA is to provide workforce planning industry intelligence and training product development in support of industry needs and government priorities.
The Travel Coordination and Business Administration Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of travel arrangements across PSA including bookings itineraries and compliance with travel policies. The role also provides administrative support to PSA programs including event logistics data entry meeting coordination and document and minute preparation.
The position is accountable to the Manager Business Operations and will support:
coordinating and booking travel arrangements in line with Public Skills Australias policies and procedures and in accordance with business requirements and within budget
preparation and management of travel itineraries and documentation
maintaining oversight of where staff are located as it pertains to work related travel
providing back up support for office and facilities coordination and working collaboratively with the building and facilities landlord
administrative tasks across programs and projects
event coordination and logistics
maintenance of accurate records meeting minutes and data entry requirements.
We are seeking applicants with demonstrated experience in travel coordination and administration managing travel bookings and arrangements in booking arranging and setting up venues for meetings minute taking and purchasing monitoring and tracking travel expenditure. The successful applicant will have the ability to be flexible and responsive to changing priorities and work in a dynamic team environment. They will also be able to deliver high quality accurate information in a variety of formats to inform the decision-making of PSA and our industries.
