Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Case Manager is responsible for providing skilled nursing care and case management within an inpatient acute care setting. This role involves patient assessments treatment planning collaboration with an interdisciplinary team and ensuring effective communication with patients and providers. The RN will float between units such as ICU PCU ED Family Birth and Adult Medical to meet facility needs.
Location:Olympia Washington United States
Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in an acute care setting.
- Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document patient progress.
- Facilitate communication between patients providers and other members of the healthcare team.
- Float between units including ICU PCU ED Family Birth and Adult Medical as needed.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington (WA) or Compact License.
- BLS certification.
- Inpatient Acute care experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- CCM or ACM certification.
- Familiarity with Milliman Guidelines or InterQual Criteria.
Special Considerations:

- Floating is required within scope to meet facility needs.
- No on-call requirement.
- Inpatient Acute care experience is a hard stop.
Scheduling:
- 5x8 hour shifts.
- Every other weekend (EOW) requirement.
