17 James Medical Oncology - D/N - AYA OFFER ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED! Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4 but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract you may be scheduled for nights or a mix of shifts based on department priorities. Shift assignments are assessed every 4-week scheduling period. *Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule *First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor 2 Years of Experience Required Patient Age group Adults Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses The most common diagnoses include all subtypes of the following: Breast Cancer Lung Cancer Prostate Cancer Pancreatic Cancer Colon Cancer Esophageal Cancer Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy Special Procedures/Unit Details 17 James cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis through treatment and also assisting with transition to end of life care. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Cares for patients that have true med surg issues Certifications Required BLS Skills Required: Telemetry Interpretation Telemetry monitoring Certifications Preferred ONS Chemo COMPUTERIZED CHARTING EPIC Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units PREVIOUS TRAVEL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!
