• Swing: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
• Graveyard: 10:00 PM 6:30 AM (must train on day shift*)

Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Fabrication Technician to work with our client a Fortune 500 electronics company. You will create high precision optics using glass fabrication machinery. Experienced with set up operation and making program changes of CNC equipment. Fabricate grind and/or polish precision optics using a variety of equipment. Must be able to verify accuracy of finished product as well as support process and product development. Focused on fabricating high quality products and quickly meeting customers needs. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.

Requirements:

• Skilled running glass or ceramic machining equipment
• Skilled with optical metrology equipment
• Inspecting parts using auto autocollimators and interferometers
• Skilled to visually inspect parts for defects
• Able to run glass fabrication machinery
• Optics handling skills to prevent scratches and defects
• Good communications skills
• Able to work on swing shift
• Able to work standing in machine tool environment
• Preferred to have basic computer data entry skills
• Works well on teams
• Willingness to work in multiple areas of concentration ranging from CNC machine operation to delicate hand polishing.

Knowledgeable regarding at least 2 of the following Operations/Machines:

• Optics Protection
• Scratch-Dig Surface Inspection
• Hand Figure Correction
• Beveling
• Edge Polishing
• Metrology
• Flat Blocking
• Deterministic Polishing
• Spindle Grinding and Polishing
• Optical CNCs
• Master Cam Software
• Vericut Software

May be required to:

• Stand long periods of time (1-2 hours)
• Work with chemicals and solvents
• Work in a noisy environment requiring PPE
