Family Law Associate Attorney
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This role offers meaningful responsibility autonomy and the opportunity to handle substantive family law matters while being supported by experienced partners and a collaborative staff.
You will manage your own cases appear in court work directly with clients and collaborate closely with attorneys paralegals and support staff. This position is ideal for a family law attorney who values independence mentorship and a balanced flexible work structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive assignments from multiple partners effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple matters simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Independently handle court appearances and family law hearings on behalf of clients.
- Work both autonomously and collaboratively with paralegals law clerks attorneys and administrative staff.
- Communicate clearly professionally and discreetly with clients opposing counsel experts and consultants.
Skills & Experience:
- Active license to practice law in California.
- 3 to 7 years of licensed family law experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with Xspouse Clio Lawyaw and Lawgic is preferred.
- Strong legal research skills with comfort using WestLaw Attorneys Briefcase online research tools and traditional reference materials.
- Excellent writing skills including drafting motions pleadings correspondence memoranda and other legal documents.
