Job Summary

What were looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Defense Attorney with at least 1.5 years of dedicated experience Californias Workers Comp Defense System defending employers insurance carriers and TPAs . You should be comfortable managing a high-volume caseload in a fully remote paperless environment and have a track record of handling cases from inception to resolution. Bonus points if you have significant doctor deposition and trial experience.

What youll do:

Represent clients in all aspects of workers compensation defense at WCAB hearings conferences and trials.
Take ownership of a full caseload driving claims toward efficient and favorable resolutions.
Conduct legal research and draft motions settlement agreements and other legal documents specific to CA workers compensation law.

Responsibilities

Represent employers/insurers at WCAB hearings
Take and defend depositions
Draft and argue motions
Negotiate settlements
Manage a caseload of active claims
Conduct legal research on WC-specific statutes and case law
Communicate regularly with adjusters and clients about case strategy and status
