Orange East Supervisory Union serving the students and communities of Bradford Elementary School Blue Mountain Union School Newbury Elementary School Oxbow High School River Bend Career and Technical Center Thetford Elementary School and Waits River Valley School is seeking to hire a Speech Language Pathologist starting with the 2026-2027 school Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) works to prevent assess diagnose and treat speech language social communication cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in Job Functions:Monitor and document students progress toward therapeutic goals adjusting treatment plans and instructional strategies as needed to maximize interpret and analyze speech and language assessment results along with medical histories and background information to accurately diagnose and plan treatment for speech language fluency voice comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized written and oral tests observations and specialized diagnostic instruments to determine the nature and severity of accurate and timely documentation of initial evaluations treatment plans progress notes and discharge summaries in compliance with legal ethical and school district and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and individual or group intervention programs within school settings to address speech and language direct instruction to students in techniques that promote effective and implement structured speech and language exercise programs aimed at reducing communication disabilities and improving functional communication and consult with teachers administrators families and medical professionals to provide guidance on communication strategies classroom accommodations and speech and language stimulation develop and utilize alternative diagnostic tools assistive technologies and communication systems to support students with complex communication and conduct instructional lessons and therapeutic games that support classroom learning and assist educators in addressing speech and language students to appropriate medical psychological or educational services when additional evaluation or intervention is effectively with non-speaking or minimally verbal students using sign language AAC devices and computer-based communication culturally and linguistically responsive communication instruction to dialect speakers and students with limited English computer software and digital applications to assess track and support students with communication or assist in research related to speech and hearing disorders analyze data and report findings to inform the development of improved procedures technologies and treatment apply for this position complete the school spring application to include: a cover letter resume three current letters of recommendation transcripts (unofficial is acceptable) proof of current Vermont licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (or proof of the ability to become licensed) and PRAXIS (or the equivalent) test scores. Salary Range:The anticipated annual salary for this role is $46738 $90067 based on experience level of education. Compensation is determined by the districts collective bargaining agreement which considers factors such as degree level and years of service. This compensation range is provided in accordance with Vermonts Pay Transparency Law and reflects a good faith estimate. Final salary may vary depending on qualifications licensure and other relevant factors. The OEEA 26-27 Collective Bargaining Agreement salary grid has not been finalized this salary range is the 25-26 year.
