Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Echo Tech/Sonographer you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.
Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.
To be successful you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy proficient technical skills and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.
- Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
- Problem solve equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative regarding equipment problems
- Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed during after each procedure and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards
- Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
- Completes all clinical supply inventories ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
- Actively Participates with patient testing performing routine nonroutine urgent and emergent patient requests
Job Requirements
- Two (2) years related experience
- Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 - days
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo upon hire
Preferred
- Associates Other or
- One year certificate from a healthrelated program in a related medical field which includeseminar course training in cardiac ultrasound
