TheInformation Governance Systems Analyst positionat the City of Tucsons Information Technology Department supports the creation management and governance of digital positioncombines technical expertise information architecture and content strategy to develop standards and best practices for internal and public-facing platforms. The role applies independent judgment to improve user experience across Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
Work is performed under the supervision of the IT Manager. This position does not supervise.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as the primary technical owner for Microsoft 365 (MS365)information governance capabilities including data lifecycle security sensitivity labels and Purview compliance tools.
Analyzes establishes and maintains cohesive enterprise-wide standards for knowledge management content lifecycle metadata structure and digital record organization.
Integrates library sciences and information management principles into MS365 content strategies.
Leads organization-wide initiatives to improve information discoverability accessibility and consistency.
Develops SharePoint Online sites oversees site architecture permissions and metadata and identifies opportunities to modernize legacy sites and workflows using Power Platform and automation.
Promotes a unified user experience across intranet and public-facing sites ensuring consistency clarity and accessibility
Develops designs standards for navigation content layout and digital engagement.
Leads and supports the migration of sites and content from Granicus Government Cloud solutions to SharePoint Online.
Performs other duties as assigned.
