Location: Ocean Isle Beach NC
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boom Truck Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate a boom truck to lift move position and reposition heavy loads safely efficiently accurately and on-time. The ideal candidate will have experience operating boom trucks and possess a CDL Class B license as a minimum (CDL Class A drivers are also acceptable). While prior experience with boom cranes is desired it is not a requirement as we provide training and certification for all boom crane operations in accordance with OSHA requirements.
Job Duties:
- Safelyoperateaboomtrucktoliftmoveandpositionheavyloadsaccordingtojob requirements.
- Performpre-tripandpost-tripinspectionsoftheboomtrucktoensuresafeoperation.
- Secureloadsproperlyusingchains strapsandotherappropriateequipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and DOT DMV and OSHA laws and regulations while driving and operating the boom truck on public and private roadways and at all loading and delivery locations.
- Communicateeffectivelywithteammembersandsupervisorstoensureefficientworkflow.
- Maintainaccuraterecordsofdailyactivitiesincludingloadinformationdrivinghoursand maintenancechecks.
- Followallsafetyprotocols andprocedurestopreventaccidentsandinjuries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Musthaveacurrent/validCDLClassBlicense(CDLClassAdriversarealsoacceptable).
- MusthaveacurrentDOTMedicalCard
- MustacceptthecompletionofafullFMCSAqueryrequestbyTheBuildingCenter
- Professionaldemeanor
- Previousexperienceoperatingboomtrucksispreferredbutnotrequired.
- Abilitytopassadrugtestandbackgroundcheck.
- Strongattentiontodetailandcommitmenttosafety.
- Excellentcommunicationskills.
- Willingness to undergo OSHA crane training and certification provided by the company.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
While performing this jobs duties the employee is regularly required to stand walk reach with hands and arms climb balance stoop kneel crouch crawl talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 200 pounds.
