Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) MS/Tele for a contract extension on a busy Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care to adult patients requiring medical post-surgical and continuous cardiac monitoring services.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe effective nursing care to MS/Tele patients
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring
Interpret telemetry and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately using the electronic medical record
Utilize rapid response and emergency protocols as needed
Educate patients and families on diagnoses medications and care plans

Required Qualifications

Active New York State RN License (NY is non-compact)
BLS Certification (AHA required)
Recent acute care MS/Tele experience
Experience with EPIC charting
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
