Job Description & Responsibilities
The Finance Manager will be a key member of our Interpro Canadian Finance/Accounting Group as the accounting and FP&A site lead for Regina Steel. The role will perform month-end close activities budget/forecast and financial planning and analysis within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. Providing direction and overseeing the accounting team in achieving the department goals and timelines is also key.

Responsible for monthly accounting close processes and meeting strict corporate deadlines.
Respond to requests from external and internal auditors on a timely basis for areas of responsibility.
Responsible for monthly planning and forecast activities and yearly budget.
Develop analyze and review business units P&L forecast assumptions.
Provide finance and accounting support to operational management both for actual data and forecast scenarios. Support operational and commercial decisions by investigating cost / margin issues and providing in-depth analysis.
Conducts detailed monthly financial analysis of cost sales key business indicators and other financial measurements.
Develop financial models depicting key financial and operational relationships.
Represent Regina Steel Finance in Senior Management meetings.
Own and maintain Costing model for product cost estimates and administer monthly product costing and transfer pricing process.
Requirements
BA/BS degree in Accounting Finance Economics or related field. Professional accounting designation preferred.
7-10 years of related experience preference given to candidates with experience in the manufacturing industry and/or cost accounting background.
Minimum 2 years prior management experience with a proven ability to lead teams and effectively work through others required.
Proficient with Oracle; Hyperion cloud-based solutions preferred.
Motivated self-starter with strong analytical financial systems and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making required
Excellent communication and leadership skills are mandatory
Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) reporting would be beneficial
Excellent skills in MS Office Suite with advanced or Expert level skillset in Excel
Knowledge of and experience with financial modelling/valuation
