The home:
Care Home in New Milton Hampshire offers 24/7 residential care elderly care end of life care respite care and general nursing care as well as dementia care.
Qualifications/Requirements for the job:
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience in providing care in a home care setting
- Valid drivers license for own transportation to the job
- Proficiency in English and basic IT skills
- Prior experience in a care home environment
- Team player
- Ability to work on own initiative
Responsabilities include:
- Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living
- Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs e.g. physical emotional and spiritual
- Provide supervision and attention when needed ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity
- Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed
- Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre
- Answer Nurse Call system giving assistance as required
- Answer the door and telephone appropriately
- Respond accordingly and pass on messages promptly
- Report on well-being of Residents
- Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs hearing aids spectacles etc
