Position: Safety Coordinator
Location: Singapore

Job Overview

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations implementing safety policies and promoting a strong safety culture across the organization. The role involves monitoring site activities conducting inspections coordinating safety training and supporting management in minimizing workplace risks and incidents.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily site operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

  • Implement and maintain Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) procedures and guidelines.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections audits and risk assessments.

  • Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation reports and incident records.

  • Investigate accidents near-miss incidents and unsafe practices.

  • Coordinate safety training toolbox talks and awareness programs for employees.

  • Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all work sites.

  • Liaise with supervisors subcontractors and management on safety matters.

  • Assist in preparing emergency response plans and conduct drills.

  • Ensure compliance with MOM WSH Council and local safety regulations.

  • Support management in achieving zero-accident objectives.


Essential Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Safety Management Engineering or related field.

  • Relevant Safety Certification (WSH Level 2/3 WSQ NEBOSH or equivalent).

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in safety coordination or site safety roles.

  • Valid registration with Singapore safety authorities (if applicable).

  • Knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Act and regulations.


Skills Required
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.

  • Excellent observation analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Ability to conduct safety briefings and training sessions.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety reporting tools.

  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Attention to detail and high sense of responsibility.
