Our client is a leading agency distributor and systems integrator in Singapore representing a select portfolio of overseas principals who design and manufacture high-quality pharmaceutical equipment and consumables.
You will be responsible for the overall delivery performance and continuous improvement of after-sales service projects.
The role combines technical authority project governance client relationship management and team leadership ensuring service excellence profitability and long-term customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project & Service Delivery Leadership
- Oversee and manage multiple after-sales service projects simultaneously from RFQ/tender stage to final closure.
- Define project strategies execution plans budgets and timelines.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
- Act as escalation point for complex or high-risk projects.
2. Technical Authority & Problem Resolution
- Serve as the highest technical reference for after-sales projects and service operations.
- Lead complex troubleshooting root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Interface directly with overseas principals and manufacturers on advanced technical issues upgrades and modifications.
- Validate technical solutions and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
3. Team Management & Capability Development
- Lead mentor and support After-Sales Project Engineers and Service Engineers.
- Allocate resources across projects and sites.
- Contribute to recruitment onboarding and technical upskilling of the service team.
- Promote best practices in safety quality documentation and customer communication.
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts on after-sales matters.
- Build long-term relationships with pharmaceutical clients EPCs and partners.
- Lead high-level technical and commercial discussions with clients.
- Participate in Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) audits and critical project milestones.
5. Commercial & Business Support
- Review and validate RFQs tenders and complex service proposals.
- Ensure accurate cost estimation margin protection and risk assessment.
- Support service business development initiatives including upgrades retrofits and long-term service contracts.
- Monitor project financials and drive invoicing and cash collection.
6. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Standardize after-sales project workflows documentation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards GMP requirements and internal procedures.
- Analyze service performance KPIs and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Provide management with regular project risk and performance reports.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 812 years of experience in after-sales service engineering or project management within pharmaceutical process or industrial equipment environments.
- Proven experience managing multi-site multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong expertise in P&ID hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems equipment installation commissioning and maintenance
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management exposure.
- Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a regional and international environment.
