We are seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join our clients remote team specializing in Bankruptcy and Foreclosure this role you will play a critical part in representing clients through complex legal proceedings ensuring the timely and effective resolution of cases. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings including appearances at hearings and mediations.
- Draft review and manage legal pleadings motions and supporting documentation with precision.
- Maintain clear professional communication with clients court staff and opposing counsel.
- Ensure all case-related tasks are completed accurately and submitted within established deadlines.
- Assist with special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the legal team.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and in good standing license to practice law in Maryland and/or Virginia State Bar
- Must possess a valid vehicle and be willing to travel to in-person hearings as needed.
- Must reside in Maryland or Virginia.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines and maintaining attendance.
- Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced multitasking legal environment.
Nice To Have:
- 05 years of experience in bankruptcy and foreclosure law; experience preferred; training provided for qualified candidates.
Required Skills:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active 0-3 years experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation Skilled in the ability to analyze case law Microsoft Office Suite Skilled in the ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations.
Required Education:
J.D. from an accredited law school with an Active license to practice law in VA.
