Job Summary
Maintain repair and weld heavy construction equipment supporting large-scale wireline telecom infrastructure projects.
Streamline Utilities is a leading provider of underground telecom construction services across the U.S. specializing in wireline telecommunications HDD and underground utility infrastructure.
We are looking for a hands-on Construction Mechanic / Fleet Technician to support our field operations by maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment ensuring reliability safety and uptime across active projects.

Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics maintenance and repairs on heavy construction equipment used in wireline telecom projects
Weld fabricate and repair metal components as needed (structural brackets frames mounts)
Maintain and repair HDD drilling equipment (Horizontal Directional Drilling rigs)
Service and repair excavators including hydraulic mechanical and electrical components
Inspect equipment for safety compliance and operational readiness
Troubleshoot mechanical hydraulic and electrical issues in the field or at the yard
Coordinate with field crews and operations to prioritize urgent repairs
Maintain service logs repair records and maintenance documentation
Support preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Equipment You Will Work With
HDD Drills (Horizontal Directional Drilling rigs) used for underground wireline telecommunications construction
Excavators trenching drilling support material handling
Support equipment trailers and construction attachments used in telecom infrastructure projects
Requirements
Requirements
3 years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining HDD drilling equipment used in wireline telecommunications construction
Proven ability to diagnose repair and service HDD drills including hydraulic mechanical and structural components
Field welding experience (stick welding required) for heavy construction equipment repairs
Strong understanding of underground wireline construction equipment and workflows
Experience repairing excavators and other heavy construction equipment
Ability to work on-site and respond to urgent equipment repair needs
Valid drivers license
Eligible to work in the U.S.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with fleet maintenance systems (e.g. Fleetio)
CDL (preferred not required)
