Additionally the department manages many of the states advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the states population that have been traditionally underserved.

The North Carolina Department of Administration (NCDOA) Division for Women and Youth (W&Y) is seeking a motivated enthusiastic and skilled Administrative Specialist to support a new Anti-Human Trafficking Program. This position will be responsible for administrative and office/procedural work supporting the Anti-Human Trafficking Program Coordinator including coordinating daily office routines based on priorities established by W&Y leadership and the Program Coordinator. Work involves providing and coordinating the provision of a full range of support activities necessary for the effective management of the program.
Division/ Department Overview
The Department of Administration serves as the business manager for North Carolina state government and provides leadership to state government agencies for the effective efficient economical and equitable delivery of services to the public. The department also provides assistance and services to several advocacy programs that serve diverse segments of the states population that have traditionally been underserved. The agencys mission directs departmental efforts to: acquire develop and maintain properties and facilities; create and operate an efficient system to purchase and dispose of goods and services to meet the needs of government agencies; provide excellent operational services to state employees; achieve fair and equitable opportunities and representation for various segments of the population that have special needs; and to provide administrative support to independent state government agencies.
W&Y advises the Governor the General Assembly and other State departments on issues affecting women in North Carolina and seeks to improve the states response to domestic violence family violence dating violence sexual violence and human trafficking. The division administers federal and state appropriated grant funding and receipts approves the Domestic Violence Intervention Programs that are ordered by the court system and provides staff support to multiple boards and commissions including the Council for Women and the Domestic Violence Commission. W&Y also administers youth involvement programs to foster leadership opportunities for youth as well as the State Internship Program and State Youth Councils.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of progressive experience related to the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
