Salary:$501100 - $6735.00 Monthly

The Opportunity:
This position reports to the DCYF Labor Relations Administrator who consults with the Labor Relation Consultants on sensitive and technical matters that ensure the timely accurate and consistent flow of information into and out of the Labor Relations Unit. The position serves as point of contact for internal and external customers seeking information and assistance related to the functions and activities of the DCYF Labor Relations section. This specialized position also provides independent professional and technical support to three Labor Relations Consultants who serve as the Department representatives at Demands to Bargain and on Bargaining Teams. This position supports the DCYF mission by providing timely effective Labor Relations services to DCYF team members and other DCYF staff.

Some of what you will get to do:

  • Maintains filing and tracking system of labor relations activities.
  • Acts as the main contact for labor relations email communications.
  • Supports grievance and arbitration proceedings.
  • Serves as Statewide Union Management Communication Committee (UMCC) Compliance Coordinator.
  • Creates maintains and distributes operating guidelines and information for internal business partners.


Required Qualifications:

  • Equivalent education and experience totaling five (5) years of progressively responsible paid professional experience in Human Resources or related field.


OR

  • A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) with focus on business human resources social or organizational behavioral sciences or related field ANDOne (1) year of professional human resource experience.

* Professional human resource experience means working full time as a human resource professional performing HR functions.


*Additional professional human resource experience may substitute year for year for required education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHARM-CP/SCP S/PHR or other professional HR certifications.
  • Six months or more experience using NEOGOV and HRMS.
