Job Summary
We are seeking a Network Engineer (Technology Specialist III) to join our dynamic team on-site three days / two days a week remotely at Mount Sinai Health System. The candidate should be a Network Subject Matter Expert who will play a crucial role in the design implementation and support of our Enterprise Campus and Cloud Environment ensuring the stability reliability and performance of our environment
Responsibilities
- Working knowledge in switch and routing protocols Extensible LAN (VXLAN) Multicast BGP EIGRP Spanning Tree etc.
- Hardware knowledge of Catalyst and Nexus Platforms Fabric Extenders.
- Working knowledge of Cloud Architecture with a focus on networking including Azure Express Route AWS Direct Connection and OCI FastConnect
- Ability to design implement support and maintain Enterprise Campus Data Center and Cloud Networks
- Be able to create professional documents and diagrams
- Aid in the resolution of escalated issues and actively participate in problem management activities.
- Cross-train other IT staff members in the maintenance and usage of wireless technology.
- Research new technologies and processes to improve the environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline; Masters degree preferred .
- 8 years minimum experience (higher preferred) 12 years of related experience including a demonstrated ability in technology -depth knowledge of associated technology areas that could impact area of responsibility; healthcare technology experience preferred.
- PreferredCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification in networking.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as an EnterpriseNetwork Engineer strongly preferred.
- Strongexpertise in designing implementing and supporting Enterprise and Cloud networks.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex network issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
