Job Title: NETWORK ANALYST III
LOCAL TO SOUTH HOUSTON TX
Job Responsibilities:
Planning design and installation of routers switches or other network components
Demonstrate a working knowledge of the following: spanning tree routing protocols (RIP OSPF EIGRP BGP) VLAN technologies WAN protocols.
Conduct network troubleshooting using network protocol analysis tools such as Wireshark.
Possess good working knowledge and experience in planning design installation and support of LAN (Ethernet Gig-Ethernet).
Possess good working knowledge and experience in Industrial Control Systems (ICS) protocols such as: CONITEL DNP Modbus and 68150.
Possess good working knowledge of cybersecurity.
Possess good NERC-CIP knowledge and SME (Subject Matter Expert) during audits.
Conduct knowledge transfer activities with peers or other support groups.
Responsible for vendor comparisons as needed.
Maintain network drawings.
Provide testing for new network hardware and software solutions.
Accountable for adhering to Change Management process for network related incidents.
Participates in process improvement initiatives.
Serve as member of technical team on selected large-scale substation networking projects.
Provides support testing troubleshooting for all business applications.
Utilize intelligent network management tools to isolate problems or improve network performance
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science computer engineering or related field required
5-7 years experience required
Network/systems administration/related work experience required
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification a plus
Knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage
Knowledge of computer software such as configuration management software desktop communications software operating system software and internet directory services software
