- Perform basic clinical procedures such as wound dressing specimen collection point of care testing EKGs etc. (as trained)
- Administer and record all medications and treatments based on provider orders accurately using proper procedures
- Record all care information concisely accurately and completely in a timely manner
- Assist providers with exams minor procedures and urgent care needs
- Prepare stock and sterilize exam rooms and clinical equipment
- Communicate test instructions and follow-up plans to patients clearly and effectively
- Assist with patient outreach for lab results chronic disease follow-up and preventative-care reminders
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure timely documentation and quality care delivery
- Accurately document all patient interactions procedures medications and communications in the Electronic Health Record
- Follow RHC regulations safety protocols and infection control standards
- Monitor and maintain clinic supplies and equipment usage. Notifies appropriate departments to replenish stock as necessary.
- Participate in Performance Improvement on a monthly basis.
- Maintain knowledge regarding use of defibrillators holter monitors etc.
- Perform and documents quality controls daily
- Uphold HIPAA and patient privacy standards
- Provide basic health education medication instructions and lifestyle guidelines within skill level and training
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Assists with diabetic foot care as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Training: Graduate of a course for LPN. Must be licensed in the state of Louisiana. CPR certified.Work Experience: No experience necessary.Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Interpersonal skills and compassion
- Analyzing information critical thinking and problem solving
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Basic computer skills
Physical Requirements:- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally move about the office and facility to access various departments and patient care areas.
- Constantly position self to maintain equipment and provide patient care.
- Constantly operates a computer office and patient care machinery.
- Ability to communicate information accurately so others will understand.
- Ability to observe details at close range.
- Occasionally assist patients such as lifting pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently move boxes equipment etc. weighing up to 20 pounds across the office for various needs.
