Level II (3 years of direct experience):$39.76 Hourly
Bilingual premium for qualifying languages is 3.5% higher than starting salary ifpassbilingual exam on first week of hire.

Position Summary:The Food Bank Lead oversees day-to-day operations and strategic coordination of food access services at Colorado Health Network (CHN) supporting people living with HIV and individualsimpactedby food insecurity and co-occurring health concerns. Reporting to CHII leadership the Lead supervises the Food Bank Coordinator and supports operational workflows staff and volunteer training quality improvement and community engagement. This role ensures compliance with Ryan White Standards of Care including the provision of food allowable hygiene and cleaning supplies and food vouchers (or gift cards with strict usage policies) excluding financialassistanceor non-licensed nutritional collaboration with Client Services and Case Management the Lead helps conduct assessments of client dietary needs andmaintainsaccuratedocumentation and disbursement tracking. Working closely with internal departments and community partners the Food Bank Lead ensuresequitableaccess to servicesfood safety and regulatory compliance. This role also standardizes procedures across sites supports quality assurance efforts and aligns food bank programming with CHNs broader public health goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide daily oversightand supportof food bank operations including scheduling staffing volunteer coordination and physical site readiness.
MentorFood Bank Coordinator(s); provide coaching delegation and performance feedback.
Ensure full compliance with Ryan White Standards of Care and applicable local/state food handling regulations;maintainall documentation of food safety inspections and licenses.
Coordinate and document client eligibility assessments and reassessments in partnership with case management and intake teams including coordinating and conducting Home Delivery for eligible clients with mobility and transportation challenges.
Maintainaccurateand up-to-date records of client service units including food disbursements signed receipts and inventory logs.
Monitor and manage inventory ensuringtimelyfood ordering storage rotation and waste minimization practices.
Lead the implementation of policy and procedural updates particularly those related to food distribution schedules voucher protocols and allowable items.
Train onboard and supervise food bank volunteers; ensure volunteer compliance with driving liability and confidentiality requirements.
Support data collection and reporting efforts for contracts grants and internal program evaluation.
Participate in CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) activities and lead process improvements to streamline workflows.
Serve as thepointperson for coordination with internal departments (e.g. Housing Client Services Prevention) and community partners related to food access initiatives.
Develop outreach strategies to expand CHNs volunteer pool and enhance community engagement in food access programming.
Fill in for Food BankCoordinatorsduties when needed including direct client service food bank deliveries (restocking) food donation pick-upfooddistribution.
Must have current and valid Colorado drivers license; must be able to pass driving record checkand a CDOT (Colorado Department of Transportation) examper CHN insurance requirements.
Must be able to be insured by CHN driving and liability insurance companies.
Must have personal insurance onownvehicle if driving on behalf of CHN.
Must be able to work in a diverse setting with diverse populations including persons living with HIV the LGBTQ community persons of various ethnic backgrounds disenfranchised communities.
Participation in training related to HIV substance use harm reduction trauma informedcareand related issues. Cultural Competency/Sensitivity.

Must be able to pass a human performance exam andphysical to be ableto meet physical requirements for the position.
Education:
High school diploma or GEDBachelorsdegree preferredand/or equivalent combination of education and experiencerequired.
Software Utilized:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel Outlook Access SharePoint Internet and Teams is required. Candidates should be comfortable working with client database systems and learning new software tools as needed.
Knowledge Skilland Ability:

Material and Equipment Directly Used:
Works with standard office equipment including computer workstation printers copiers scannersand with word processing software spreadsheet applications and presentation with clients and vendors using the telephone e-mail the Internet and fax.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
Works in an officeenvironment andmay provide frequent supportinthe Denver CHN Food Bank. May travel a valid drivers license. Knowledge of safe lifting techniques andtheability to lift to 50 pounds of to sit walk stand stoop crouch crawlbend squat climb kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to climb to grasp push pull objects such as boxes tables and reach to stand for prolonged periods of time ona hard surface. Moderately strenuous activity associated with packing lifting sorting food and groceries as clear speaking ability and the ability to use a telephone for extended periods. Requiresabilityto view a computer screen (near acuity). Requires fingering agility for keyboarding and using a telephone and other office equipment. Requirestheability to perform light cleaning.
