We are hiring a Lead Trainer (Lifeguard) for one of our clients in Woodbine NJ.
Job Description:
- Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations by activating the Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
- Communicate and enforce all CRS and pool policies and rules in a personable and professional manner.
- Dress and appearance are consistent with SRWC standards including wearing your swimsuit guard shirt whistle and tube while on duty.
- Conduct pool inspections and complete pool chemical logs and report imbalances or concerns to the supervisor.
- Record daily participation numbers and complete daily cleaning assignments.
- Attend and participate in regular in-service trainings.
- Provide a welcoming environment for all patrons.
- Document any incidents and/or injuries.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work space
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours
- Regularly treat the pool with the correct amount of chemicals
- Closely monitoring activities related to the pool area identifying any safety issues throughout shift
- Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions
- Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe.
Skills required:
- Duties to include but not limited to providing lifeguard supervision in a pool setting.
- The population swimming in the pool are individuals with intellectual disability and may require in-water swimming assistance.
- Additional facility direct care staff will be in the vicinity to assist as needed.
- Small groups of individuals will attend at a time.
Certification required:
- Applicants must possess a current NJ Lifeguard or Shallow Water certification.
Work hours:
- 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (Flexible with hours) 28 to 40 hours
- Lunch hour (unpaid): 30 minutes
