Role Description
As the GL and Tax Officer you will report directly to the Assistant Manager for Accounting and Finance. You shall be responsible for the following key result areas:
- Cash Management: Petty Cash Custodianship FX rate monitoring Preparation of Letters of instruction for dollar purchases preparing Managers Check requests. Preparing and ensuring the completeness of commercial invoices for BSP registration and daily BSP rate entry.
- Accounts Payable: Preparation of journal payment entries for MC and BOC payments Prepare AP aging monthly report invoice entry of HQ billings.
- Fixed Asset Management : Preparation of lapsing schedules and asset journal entries.
- General Ledger: Records monthly accruals and adjusting entries Preparation of monthly schedules for profit and loss Preparation of quarterly intercompany SOA Assist in Balance Sheet clean up Bank Reconciliations Assist in posting payment journal entries.
- Taxation / BIR Reportorial requirements: Monthly filing of Final Tax and Expanded Withholding taxQuarterly filing of Final Tax Expanded Withholding tax Value Added Tax Percentage Tax VAT relief and Alphalists of Payees Annual filing of BIR 1604 CF 1604 E Alphalists of Payees SAWT Alphalist and Books of Account.
Education and Experience
- Accounting degree or equivalent preferably a CPA but not mandatoryAt least a minimum of 3 years working experience in the related field preferably gained from multinational firms.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and auditing practices and principles.
- Knowledge of applicable laws codes and regulations
- Knowledge and experience of any accounting computer applications and ERP. Familiarity in using Microsoft Dynamics are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
- May start in 30 days notice.
