We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep CMMC expertise and preferably hands-on AI product experience to lead the evolution and market success of Exostars CMMC Ready Suite. This role is crucial in driving product strategy managing cross-functional teams and leveraging AI/ML capabilities to transform how Defense Industrial Base (DIB) organizations achieve and maintain CMMC compliance. You will spearhead efforts to create AI-powered solutions that automate gap analysis streamline evidence collection and accelerate the path to CMMC Level 2 certification while strengthening cybersecurity posture across the defense supply chain.

Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute a product roadmap aligned with company objectives evolving CMMC compliance requirements and AI-driven innovation opportunities. Identify and prioritize AI/ML capabilities that automate compliance workflows reduce manual effort and improve assessment accuracy. Refine and deliver requirements in partnership with Product Owners Business Analysts UX experts and data science teams. Make tough tactical prioritization decisions while focusing on long-term goals. Drive roadmap elements with focus on customer satisfaction that leads to upsell and growth.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sales marketing and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions. Gather input from clients partners MSPs and DIB industry experts to shape product direction. Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders ensuring alignment across teams
Product Development: Oversee the full product lifecycle for the CMMC Ready Suite components from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization. Drive the integration of AI/ML features including intelligent document analysis automated control mapping and AI-assisted remediation guidance. Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure intuitive and effective product design. Partner with engineering and data science teams to deliver high-quality scalable AI-powered solutions on schedule.
AI & Innovation: Champion the use of AI/ML technologies to differentiate our compliance solutions. Deploy AI capabilities (including LLMs NLP and automation tools) for practical application in CMMC assessment and remediation workflows. Define requirements for AI-powered features that reduce customer burden while maintaining audit defensibility. Stay current with AI industry developments and translate innovations into product opportunities.
Market Analysis & Customer Focus: Monitor industry trends competitor activity and regulatory changes in compliance frameworks including NIST SP 800-171 DFARS and CMMC. Conduct user research and analyze customer feedback to inform product enhancements that ensure customers achieve and maintain CMMC certification.
Performance Metrics: Define success metrics and track product performance to ensure continuous improvement. Present insights and results to executive leadership making data-driven recommendations. Owning product Profit & Loss (P&L); make adequate financial decisions for revenue-based roadmap items and work through sales to close them.

Required:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity Information Systems Business or a related field
- 10 years of experience in software product management including product delivery budget ownership and customer relationship management
- Deep knowledge of CMMC 2.0 framework NIST SP 800-171 and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements with demonstrated experience translating compliance requirements into product features
- Proven experience deploying AI/ML capabilities in enterprise software products including defining requirements working with data science teams and measuring AI feature effectiveness
- Prior experience managing products using agile methodologies and project management tools (Atlassian suite a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing and lead presentations training courses and effective meetings.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated integrity independent thinking judgment and respect for others

- Certification as a Registered Practitioner (RP) Certified CMMC Professional (CCP) or Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA)
- Understanding of how secure collaboration platforms compliance assessment tools policy management systems and managed services work individually and collectively to support customer compliance objectives
- Hands-on experience with LLMs NLP or document intelligence technologies in product contexts
- Experience conducting or supporting CMMC assessments or working directly with C3PAOs
