Electrical Engineer Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Summer 2026 program in La Porte TXResponsibilities included but not limited to: 50% document control-data analysis 25% Project Management assistance 25% in the field. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and insights into the Environmental-Industrial Waste Management Industry Process Safety Management (PSM) principles and the mechanical integrity program. • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Mechanical Integrity Program
• Learn about corrosion mechanisms and participate in corrosion monitoring and mitigation activities
• Gain exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) principles including the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) process Management of Change (MOCs) Operating Procedures Incident Investigation and other elements of PSM
• Take initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving

• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations including the pillars of Process Safety Management (PSM)

What does it take to work at Clean Harbors Company

• Enrolled in a Bachelor Engineering Program (Chemical Civil Mechanical or Industrial) in your Junior Senior years or recent graduate preferred

• Proficiency in CAD or similar software for updating and modifying engineering drawings

• Knowledge of P&IDs and piping ISOs preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Highly motivated and self-starter with the ability to work independently

• Proficient in MS Office Suite Excel Word and Outlook

• Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization written and verbally

• Lift to 50lbs climb ladders stoop bend stand for prolonged periods exposed to various weather conditions and work at heights
