Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and passionate Casual Chef De Partie to join the PLG team at The Coach in Ringwood. Youll have the opportunity to manage a designated kitchen section supervise junior staff and assist the team with menu development.

The Coach is our newly renovated dining and entertainment complex located in the heart of Ringwood. From the moment you walk into the venue the warmth and friendliness makes you already feel at home.

A modern new Bistro specialising in a family friendly environment offering an extensive a la carte menu whilst delivering quality customer service catering to all. Not to mention the relocation of the Sports Bar with a dedicated menu and a newly developed alfresco area. Making it the perfect place to watch the game or simply enjoy a beverage relax and unwind.

What will my duties include

Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections.
Assist with the induction of new employees when required.
Maintain professional relationships with external supplies.
Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
Work in conjunction with the head chef to develop and implement a menu.
Ensure all staff follow safety procedures.

The role you are applying for may be quite fast-paced and require you to complete tasks including but not limited to lifting boxes kegs or stock standing for long periods of time and utilising stairs.

What we are looking for:

Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Food Handlers Certificate.
Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment.
Well-versed in all kitchen areas with hands-on experience.
Ability to follow and give directions when required.
Willingness to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
